This knowledge will be reinforced by actual hands-on experience with networking equipment in a laboratory environment, where students will perform real tasks
Target audience
This course is aimed at individuals responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the Extreme Networks family of ExtremeXOS/SwitchEngine switches.
Requirements
This training builds on the knowledge gained in the “Extreme Switching – Installation and Configuration” training. To be eligible for certification in this course, you must first have earned certification in the previous course. Students should have a solid understanding of LAN concepts, including switching and routing, advanced Ethernet concepts and an introductory course in TCP/IP.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will have acquired the operational knowledge to:
- Determine if a problem is network related or not.
- Diagnose ExtremeXOS/SwitchEngine and the network with built-in tools.
- Troubleshoot common problems.
- Collect support data and open a case at GTAC.
- Obtain a learning credential on the Professional Program training track.
